Renewable Fuels of America
Renewable Fuels of America Corporation, (RFAC) intends to import and distribute Brazilian sugarcane ethanol for use as motor fuel. Unlike corn based ethanol, sugarcane does not rely on a competing food source, yields twice as much ethanol per acre, and is environmentally advantageous.
RFAC maximizes available trade benefits and leverages existing ethanol distribution networks and infrastructure in those coastal areas logistically and economically favorable to a port entry distributor supplier. Our joint venture supplier is Cosan SA, the world’s largest sugarcane ethanol provider.
RFAC has identified a distribution partner in the mid-atlantic region of the United States that is currently delivering significant volumes of corn-based ethanol to independent fuel stations in that region. RFAC intends along with Cosan SA to import sugar cane based ethanol from Brazil to be mixed with gasoline and sold in retail fuel stations.
RFAC will take advantage of the current ‘blender of record’ credit from the Federal Government for each gallon of ethanol sold in the USA. RFAC also intends to import ethanol without tariffs by introducing it to the USA via the CBI (Caribbean Basin Initiative).
